Welcome to North Carolina Greyhound Adoption Promotion – NC GAP for short.
Our goal is to raise awareness and promote the adoption of retired racing greyhounds as pets. Through public outreach, programs, publications and events we encourage people to consider these wonderful greyhounds as pets when adding a new member to their family.
We are not an adoption agency; rather we provide the link between potential adopters and North Carolina greyhound adoption groups. Through our activities we offer prospective adoptive ‘parents’ information about retired racers, anecdotal accounts of life with greyhounds and an opportunity to meet our greyhounds up close and personal.
NCGAP is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization. We welcome everyone who is dedicated to the welfare of retired racing greyhounds, and would like to join us in promoting greyhounds to find their forever homes and loving families.
